# Get named by AI search.

When a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI Mode who to hire, the answer names three or four businesses. This is the check we run to find out whether you are one of them, and what to fix when you are not.

- **Up to 40%** Visibility lift from adding sources, quotes and statistics (GEO study, Princeton and others, 2023)
- **8% vs 15%** Clicks on a Google result with an AI summary, versus without (Pew Research Center, 2025)
- **No JS** GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot did not run JavaScript when tested (Vercel crawler analysis, 2024)

## What is inside: 7 steps in 4 pages

1. **Ask the machines first.** Put the ten questions your buyers ask into ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Mode. Write down who gets named. That list is your real competition.
2. **Let the crawlers in.** Open yoursite.com/robots.txt. GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot, Claude-SearchBot, Claude-User, PerplexityBot and Googlebot must not be blocked.
3. **Check the page without JavaScript.** View the source of your key pages. If the text is not in the HTML, most AI crawlers see a page with no content.
4. **Answer first.**
5. **Cite and quote.**
6. **Mark it up honestly.**
7. **Get mentioned elsewhere.**
