An abandoned booking email for a night train: a departures board in live text and a ticket that holds the cabin until midnight.

The brief

Win back the booking left at the payment step, before the hold on the cabin runs out.

What we designed

A split flap departures board leads, set letter by letter so the train, the platform and the status read as text.

The ticket below carries the times, the cabin and the price, with a perforated stub. The button repeats the stub, and the night follows stop by stop, from Paris to the Brenner Pass at first light.

How it is built

• The departures board is 57 table cells of live text, no image
• 600 px wide, built in tables with inline styles
• A phone layout that stacks below 600 px
• The brand's fonts, with web safe fallbacks for clients that block them
• Images at twice their size for sharp screens, alt text on every one
• Preheader, preferences and unsubscribe in place
